In June 2012, privately-owned C. Steinweg – Handelsveem B.V (’C. Steinweg’) became a majority stakeholder in Bridge Shipping. C. Steinweg was established in 1847 and has more than 77 offices in over 32 countries. This relationship allows the Bridge Shipping Group to provide our customers with a total logistics package including forwarding, stevedoring, chartering, warehousing, handling and processing, customs services, special projects and collateral management.
As one of the largest exporters of containerised cargo by rail in Southern Africa, the Bridge Shipping Group is able, through our skilled staff complement of approximately 500 people in the regions in which we operate, to provide best-practice, tailored logistics solutions to our growing client base.
